Fill the vase with water to reach the bottom of the bottle neck.  

Crumble the shisha with your fingers and fill the bowl.

Tear off a piece of aluminum foil slightly bigger than the mouth of the bowl and place it tightly over the bowl.  Make sure it covers the entire area and fits tightly

Poke holes in the foil with a toothpick.

Attach the top and bottom portions of the stem then screw them into the vase.

Place the ash catcher on top of the stem and then the grommet to hold it in place.  

Heat coals until red hot on each side using the tongs to turn them over.  This should take about 5 minutes.

Using the tongs, place the coal on the foil.  Do not place it in the center but rather begin at one side and continue to move it around to insure that the tobacco is being heated evenly.  

Insert the pipe into the hole in the middle of the hookah. It might take a few hits for the bow to properly heat up and give smoke
